Overview
In the spring of 2020, I worked at Iowa State Rec Services department as a marketing specialist. My workload was creating content for their website, social media, flyers, and videos. I made sure all my designs were on-brand and encouraged students to come to Rec Services.
Esports 3D Floorplan
I created this 3D floorplan on Blender 2.8. It was designed to promote funding for the second floor of the Iowa State Esports room. After presenting it to the upper management, they were impressed and pursued to help fund it. Some of the objects I modeled include tables, lockers, and VR treadmills.
Esports Logo Animation
I designed the Esports logo animation on Adobe AfterEffects. I used a flicker effect on the lighting bolt and brought the shapes in by changing the opacity.
Posters
Here are posters I made to promote the new Esports room and fitness classes at Rec Services. The two posters have the same similarities, from the typography's repetition and the color scheme.
Ligature Outro Animation
I created the ligature outro animation on Adobe AfterEffects. The Rec Services' ligature appears, then light swipes through. It is used at the end of all the Recreation Services videos.
100 Years Intramurals Logo
I created the 100 Years of Intramural logo on Adobe Illustrator. It was an event to celebrate 100 Years of Intramurals at Iowa State. The logo is based on the original Rec Services ligature. Other designers on my team made news articles that featured the logo and its history.
Website Icons
The website icons needed an update and I made these icons to fit more with the brand. To do so, I matched the ligature with the human figure's body shape. I also used the same red and yellow colors.
Career Pathway Worksheet
I worked with the student development coordinator and had the opportunity to create a worksheet that helps students articulate their skills to future employers. It keeps track of the workshops a student would complete throughout their semester.
Intramurals Update Thumbnail Videos
Intramurals Update was a segment where my team made weekly videos on our social media account. It showed all the events and we created jokes in each video. I was in charge of the thumbnails. The design was consistent; the only change was our host's poses and the color background.
Fitness Highlight Video
Fitness Highlight Video was to encourage students to join our fitness classes at the Rec Services. It shows some of the popular fitness classes we provided. The graphic animation was made in Adobe AfterEffects and the video clips were added to Adobe Premiere.
